Performance of an organisation depends not only on having a coherent strategy but also on how managers at different levels understand and implement it. Magnificent visions and grand strategies cannot lead to success without their effective implementation across the length and breadth of the organisation. The real test of a strategy occurs when the rubber meets the road-when visions from the top either diffuse or clash in the middle of the organisation when goals trickling down either unite and focus or divide and distract the performers and when everyday actions either propel the organisation toward its chosen destiny or push it into the wilds of disarray. If coming up with a great strategy is challenging, translating it into fruitful actions is daunting.
This 4-day intensive programme is aimed at helping executives understand the process of formulating and implementing business strategy in various domains and at various levels of the organisation. It is specifically designed to help managers conceptualise and materialise a business strategy, formulate and translate it into concrete goals and tactics, and drive the whole organisation toward superior performance.

The Project Management discipline has matured into a sophisticated set of soft and hard management processes, tools and techniques, which enable managers to complete their projects according to not only the customary time, budget and quality constraints but also the successful delivery of intended benefits that contribute to the positioning and profitability of the organisation. However, despite the availability of best practice techniques, most projects globally tend to fail because of poor planning, inadequate allocation of resources, inefficient scheduling of time, and poor understanding of the context or at times merely lack of commitment from senior management.
The 4-day focused online programme on project management is intended to provide executives with positively new insights into the project planning, control and execution processes. Through simulations and multiple hands-on experiential exercises, the participants will master the project portfolio and gain a comprehensive perspective on managing and executing business projects.
In today’s uncertain and fast-paced corporate setting, managers increasingly face situations that require critical decision making in an atmosphere of time pressure. Breaking down a problem and assessing the outcomes of different options is neither simple nor straight forward. High-quality decisions, best suited to the hostile environment, are essential for strong business performance, but only a few people get the training they need to make good decisions consistently, with clarity and confidence.
Using a unique blend of case studies, role-plays and experiential exercises, the 3-day online programme provides an unparalleled opportunity to acquire skills and techniques essential for making high-quality decisions and solving problems effectively. Participants will build competences by learning how to work on the right problem, develop and structure objectives, understand the consequences, and make appropriate tradeoffs using several problem solving and decision making approaches and tools.

Residing together at LUMS, the participants immerse themselves in a two week-long learning experience that has been engineered to be rigorous, real in context and transformational.
